## Salesforce

Connect Salesforce to import survey responses into Caplena for analysis. Caplena authenticates through the OAuth **Client Credentials Flow**, which runs as a dedicated API-only user. Setting this up requires a few steps inside Salesforce before you add the connection in Caplena.

<Note>
  The Salesforce setup UI is dense and changes between editions. We recommend having a Salesforce administrator complete the steps below, as they require permission to create users, permission sets, and connected apps.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a Permission Set">
    In Salesforce, go to **Setup → Users → Permission Sets** and create a new permission set.\\
