# Your Free 1-Month Review Trial

> Import and analyze reviews from Google Maps, the Apple App Store and Google Play for free until November 19, step by step.

Surveys show you what customers say when you ask. Reviews show you what they say when you don't. Every day, your customers (and your competitors' customers) share valuable feedback on **Google Maps**, the **Apple App Store** and **Google Play**.

**Until November 19, you can bring all of it into Caplena for free.**

> **Up to 10,000 reviews**
>
> Imported and categorized at no extra cost.

> **Up to 3 years of history**
>
> Have a benchmark from day one.

> **Ready in minutes**
>
> No setup on your side. Your first reviews land in Caplena within minutes.

> [!TIP]
>
> You're not limited to your own brand. Add your **competitors'** locations or apps too, and compare what customers say about each of you in a single project.

## Set up your review import in 4 steps

**1. Create a new project**

In Caplena, go to the **Projects** tab and click **New Project** in the top-right corner. Give the project a clear name (for example, *"Google Maps reviews – all stores"*) and select the main language of your reviews.

If your reviews come in several languages, turn on **Automatic Translation**. [Learn more →](https://docs.caplena.com/get-started/project-settings/languages-and-translations.md)

**2. Choose the integration**

Click **Continue**, select **Use an Integration**, and pick **Google Maps**, **Apple App Store** or **Google Play Store**.

**3. Add your locations or apps**

Paste the Place ID, address or app link for each location or app you want to analyze. Each one becomes a separate *integration item* in the same project. See the input formats for each platform [below](#google-maps).

> [!TIP]
>
> Adding many locations or apps? Prepare a list (in Excel, Google Sheets or any text editor) and **copy & paste** the whole list into the **first input box**. Caplena detects each line as a separate entry.

**4. Import and start analyzing**

Caplena shows an **estimate of the number of reviews** for each item before the import. Confirm, save the project, and your reviews are imported and categorized automatically.

Leave **sync** turned on to keep importing new reviews every 3 days. [How syncing works →](https://docs.caplena.com/integrations/integrations-in-caplena-overview.md#syncing-data-automatically)

## Google Maps

Caplena accepts **two ways** to identify a Google Maps location.

### Option A: Google Place ID (recommended)

**1. Open Google's Place ID Finder**

Go to [Google's Place ID Finder](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-placeid-finder).

**2. Search for your location**

Type the name of your business or location and click it on the map.

**3. Copy the Place ID**

Copy the Place ID shown below the name and paste it into Caplena.

> [!TIP]
>
> Place IDs are stable, unambiguous, and work reliably even when multiple businesses share a similar address.

### Option B: Fully qualified address

If you don't use a Place ID, enter a **complete, exact address**, including the company or venue name, street and house number, postal code, city, and country.

**Example:** `Caplena AG, Stampfenbachstrasse 63, 8006 Zürich, Switzerland`

> [!NOTE]
>
> When you enter this exact address into Google Search, it **must show a full Google business profile** with pictures, phone number, opening hours, etc. If Google shows multiple results (like entrances or platforms), use the Place ID instead.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Row limit:** The limit you set applies **per location**, not across the entire import. With a limit of 100 and 50 locations, you can import up to 5,000 reviews in total.
>
> **Reviews without text:** Caplena also imports star-rating-only reviews, not just those with written text.

Need **many locations at once** (for example, *"all our stores in the UK"*)? Reach out to us and we'll help set up the workflow.

## Apple App Store

Use this for **iOS and iPadOS app reviews**.

**1. Find your app**

Open your app's page on [apps.apple.com](https://apps.apple.com) in your browser.

**2. Copy the link**

Copy the URL from the address bar. To import reviews from a specific country, keep the region code in the link (for example, `/de/`).

**3. Paste it into Caplena**

Paste the link as a new item in your **Apple App Store** integration.

**Input format:**

* Default (US): `https://apps.apple.com/app/<name>/<identifier>`
* Other regions: `https://apps.apple.com/<region>/app/<name>/<identifier>`

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Supported regions:** ca, at, it, us, au, fr, ch, mx, es, de

**Examples:**

* `https://apps.apple.com/app/bear/id1091189122`
* `https://apps.apple.com/de/app/fifa-soccer/id1094930513`

## Google Play Store

Supports reviews for **apps**, **movies**, and **books**.

**1. Find your app**

Open your app's page on [play.google.com](https://play.google.com) in your browser.

**2. Copy the link**

Copy the URL from the address bar. Add or change `&hl=<lang>` at the end to choose the review language (for example, `&hl=de`).

**3. Paste it into Caplena**

Paste the link as a new item in your **Google Play Store** integration.

**Input format:**

* Apps: `https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=<app-bundle>&hl=<lang>`
* Movies: `https://play.google.com/store/movies/details/<name>?id=<identifier>`
* Books: `https://play.google.com/store/books/details/<name>/?id=<identifier>`

**Languages supported:** `hl=de`, `hl=fr`, `hl=en`, `hl=it`, `hl=es`, etc.

**Examples:**
